Livvic’s roman is an upright italic. Jacques Le Bailly drew it for LV=, the British insurance company, as part of a brand redesign, and borrowed a few cues from handwriting so that a corporate face could still come across open, friendly and a little quirky.
The italic shares the roman’s metrics letter for letter, so a word switched to italic takes exactly the same room. It is built differently, though, and has more swing to it.
16 styles, Thin to Black with an italic for each weight. Tabular and proportional figures, case sensitive forms, contextual alternates and a stylistic set are in the 675 characters, and Vietnamese is covered.
An insurance or banking app that wants to sound human would suit it, with Regular for text and Semi Bold for the buttons.
