From Regular, Londrina Solid jumps straight to Black, with nothing in between. The 4 weights are Thin, Light, Regular and that Black, and the gap is big enough that a poster can use 2 of them side by side and the contrast does the shouting for you.
Solid is the main style of the family, the layer that the Shadow, Outline and Sketch versions were drawn to combine with. Marcelo Magalhães started from a capitals-only alphabet he called New Folk, made for a single poster, because it reminded him of the informal everyday writing people put up around São Paulo. He then gave it a lowercase and turned it into a family.
It runs a little narrow, so a market banner or a band name fits on 1 line more easily than you might expect. Latin only, and no frills in the feature list beyond kerning.
