Hand-poured candles, small batch
No 2 serifs in Luxurious Roman quite agree. Robert Leuschke made them inconsistent on purpose and let the letters bounce a little on the line, so a word set in it looks lettered by hand with a pen, slightly imperfect, while it still behaves as a font.
That is a fine line to walk, and he gave it the kit of a text face: old style and lining figures, fractions, superscripts, ordinals, discretionary ligatures. The character set covers Western and Central European languages and Vietnamese, 586 characters in the single Regular.
We would put it on a candle label or a boutique’s shopfront, set large enough that the irregularity reads as intention.
