Noche de milonga en San Telmo
Petals on the ends of the strokes. That is where to look first. The terminals of Milonga curl and sharpen into small leaf and petal shapes taken from fileteado porteño, a classic style of painting from the River Plate, and the round and pointy details around them come from the same source.
The team at Impallari Type made it in 2011 as a tribute to the rioplatense culture of tango and milonga, the folk dance music of Argentina, and to all the stories of family, rivals and love those songs tell. Brenda Gallo and Rodrigo Fuenzalida are named alongside Pablo Impallari in the font’s copyright.
There is 1 Regular style, with 3 stylistic sets, standard ligatures and fractions inside. Use it big, for a poster for a dance night or the name of a parrilla, and let a quiet serif set anything longer than a line.
