Minutes of the garden committee
Molengo was built with free tools from end to end. Denis Jacquerye drew the glyphs in FontForge as a CFF file, then produced the TTF from it, with hinting instructions written in Xgridfit.
His aim was a Latin face for documents in many languages, minority languages among them, and the font handles the placement of the non-spacing marks some of those orthographies need. The copyright goes back to 2007. Google added it in April 2010.
1 Regular, 369 characters, kerning. We think it can carry a newsletter column at 16 px, though with no bold or italic, emphasis has to come from somewhere else.
