Kawi is a historical abugida from Southeast Asia, written left to right, and Google’s Noto collection added a font for it in 2023.
Fadhl Haqq drew it. Where Noto fonts for old scripts often stop at a single Regular, this one has 4 weights, Regular, Medium, Semi Bold and Bold, so a scholarly edition can set a heading or a highlighted word in Kawi as well as the running text. There are 2 stylistic sets, and a Latin alphabet with the European accents for transliteration and notes.
