The script has been written in Cambodia since the 7th century and has about 12 million users today, for Khmer and also for Brao, Mnong and Pali. Danh Hong drew this version with the Monotype Design Team as the plain, unmodulated member of Google’s Noto collection, with a matching Latin.
With that range a Cambodian news site or app can build a real hierarchy inside 1 family: a Black headline, Regular text, Light captions under the photos. You will need software with complex text layout support, which Khmer always requires.
