Village stories from Nepal
Nepal and Sikkim write Sunuwar by different orthographic rules, and this font handles both standards. That matters more than it sounds for a small script. Sunuwar, also called Kõits brese, is a left to right South Asian writing system for the Kiranti-Kõits language, known as Mukhia too, and the font supports 44 characters from its Unicode block.
Anshuman Pandey designed the font for the Script Encoding Initiative at the University of California, Berkeley, with support from the National Endowment for the Humanities and Unicode’s Adopt-a-Character program. JamraPatel did the production and engineering.
