Small circles at the start of many strokes are the old habit of Thai lettering, and this Noto family keeps them. Cadson Demak, the Thai foundry, drew it for Google as an unmodulated sans, strokes of even thickness, and Noto calls it suitable for all texts, from a paragraph in a textbook to a website.

There are 9 weights, Thin at 100 to Black at 900. Our advice would be to read in the Light to Semi Bold range and save Black for a 2 or 3 word heading, since small loops at that weight leave very little white inside them.

The Latin side is plain, with Western and Central European accents, enough for a bilingual menu or an English line under a Thai heading. The script goes back to 1283, and its 44 letters cover only 21 consonant sounds, so several letters share a sound.
