Old letters from Jammu

Dogri, a language of Jammu and Kashmir in the northern part of the Indian subcontinent, once had a script of its own. Dogra is an abugida written left to right, and it needs software that can handle complex shaping before its vowel signs land in the right place.

Ek Type drew Noto Serif Dogra for Google’s Noto collection, a modulated design with thick and thin strokes. It supports 69 characters from the Unicode Dogra block in 1 Regular, with 3 stylistic sets and a Latin for notes and citations.
