Panchang is extremely wide, a sentence in it running 65% longer than in Arial, and it has an industrial bearing to match. Most strokes end flat, horizontal or vertical, and then a few letters break the pattern with a diagonal cut: C, S, e and g.

Hitesh Malaviya and Barbara Bigosińska drew it for Indian Type Foundry. Look at the details and they reward it. The a and g are single-storey, the y is rounded, and the ampersand is pared back toward the old Et ligature it came from. The x-height is tall, yet the ascenders climb higher than the capitals.

The full family runs from Light to Extra Bold with a variable version, and it has been on ITF’s Fontshare since March 2021; this download is the Regular. Latin for European languages.

A logo or a 1 line headline: it wants space and short words.
