Paquito

Paquito was pointed at food from the start. Indian Type Foundry suggests it for restaurant identities, menus and packaging, and Juanjo Lopez drew it as a condensed serif that looks lettered by hand with a fine-tipped pen, a little irregular on purpose.

Many of the capitals are top-heavy; the R has an upper bowl much bigger than the space under it. The figures sit somewhere between lining and old style, their tops landing between x-height and cap height, with a few parts dipping below the line. The lowercase is big, and the ascenders barely clear the tall capitals.

There are 46 ligatures, pairs in both cases, plus Polish kreska accents through localized forms.

The family has 3 weights and 1 is offered here. Keep it large. At caption size the pen wobble disappears and only the thin strokes remain.
