Fresh bread, warm from the oven
The serifs on Patua One are thick slabs that Luciano Vergara bent into curves, which gives the heavy feet some smoothness and a little gesture. He meant it as a slab serif for small sizes, low in contrast and strong, and the font is sturdy enough to make that work on a price tag or a button.
It came out from LatinoType in 2011 with 1 Regular style and 231 characters. That is basic Latin with kerning and not much else, so accented languages are out. A bakery label in English, though, it would do nicely.
