Short ascenders and descenders are what make Rambla thrifty. Martin Sommaruga drew it as a humanist sans for articles of middling length, a little condensed and with a roomy x-height, so it saves space both ways: more words fit on a line, and lines can sit closer together without their tails tangling.
The family is the classic 4, Regular and Bold with an italic each, and the italics barely change the width.
Otherwise it is a lean set, 232 characters and kerning and no special figures, so a price list with columns of numbers would want something better equipped. A blog or a long magazine piece is where it is at home.
