Big Top Circus Weekend
Basuto, a display face from the Stephenson Blake foundry, came out in 1926 with capitals only. When Vernon Adams revived it in 2011 as Rammetto, he had to invent the lowercase from nothing, and he tidied up a few of the old capitals while he was at it, then added the accented letters needed across Europe.
The result is heavy and wide, with a big lowercase. It belongs on a kids’ cereal box or a café chalkboard, and below about 20 px it gets hard to read.
