Sansita began in 2011 as a single heavy style, Sansita One, by Pablo Cosgaya and Igino Marini. A year later Omnibus-Type released it as a full family with more features, and in 2014 it was picked for Tipos Latinos, the biennial of Latin American type design. Ana Sanfelippo worked on it as assistant designer.
The lowercase is where Cosgaya played. It explores the ground between type and calligraphy, and the capitals add the elegance. Omnibus suggests it for packaging and slogans, the brief texts where a word or 2 has to carry a mood.
You get Regular, Bold, Extra Bold and Black, each with an italic, 8 files. There is a separate swash version, Sansita Swashed, if the plain one is not loud enough.
We would keep it to short lines. In a long paragraph the calligraphic lowercase starts to repeat its tricks.
