What does a child’s handwriting look like once someone tidies it into a typeface? Short Stack is James Grieshaber’s answer: low in contrast, semi geometric, sturdy and clear, with the whimsy left in. It spreads wide across the line, so a classroom poster or a picture book page holds fewer words than you might plan for. Medium text sizes and up suit it, and the character set stops at basic Latin. Sorkin Type released it, and Google Fonts has had it since August 2011.
