Morning edition, Hyderabad news
Newspapers were the first target. Appaji Ambarisha Darbha, a type designer based in Hyderabad, drew the Telugu of Tenali Ramakrishna in 2013 for news publications, Silicon Andhra made it available, and Darbha saw it serving running text, headings, posters and invitations alike.
The Latin was borrowed. Wojciech Kalinowski drew it and first published it as Classica.
1 Regular, 224 characters, no OpenType extras. The Latin is narrow and sits small on the body, so set it a size up when English shares a line with Telugu.
