Swap Urbanist in for Arial on a site that has been live for years and almost nothing will reflow. The 2 set within a fraction of a percent of each other, Urbanist a hair wider, and its italics run to exactly the same width as its romans.
Corey Hu started the project in 2020 with 9 weights and an italic for each, building the letters out of elementary shapes, circles and straight strokes with very little contrast between thick and thin, in the spirit of Modernist design. Google added it in June 2021 and classes it among the display faces, though the middle weights handle interface text well enough.

The OpenType list is short, fractions and ordinals, superscripts and subscripts, kerning. We would keep the Thin and Extra Light for sizes over 40 px and give Semi Bold to buttons. Geometric rounds can feel stiff over a long article, so if you do set paragraphs in it, go up to 17 px and loosen the line spacing.
