Wix asked Dalton Maag for a typeface in 2 halves. The Text family runs the interface and has italics whose shapes come from cursive handwriting. This Display family, Regular up to ExtraBold with no italic, handles headings, and it is the more geometric of the pair.
Its round letters come close to circles. Curves in the f, the j and the t turn angular, and the c and the s flare a little at their ends, about as much ornament as the design allows itself. The spacing was set tight with big sizes in mind.
That tight spacing is our reason to keep it big. Below 20 px or so the letters start to crowd and the Text family is the better pick; above it, a heading in Display Bold over body copy in Text Regular gives a site 1 voice from top to bottom. Cyrillic and Vietnamese ride along with the Latin.
