New Year festival in Kampot

Bokor comes from Danh Hong, a longtime maker of Khmer and other Southeast Asian fonts who works with KhmerOS, the project to put computers into Cambodians’ own language. Bokor is one of the Khmer families he put into Google’s library on 2 March 2011, a batch that also held Angkor, Battambang, Bayon, Chenla, Dangrek, Koulen, Moul, Content, Metal and Freehand.

Khmer is an abugida, written for the Khmer language, the official language of Cambodia, and also for Pali in Buddhist texts. Bokor is the display member of the group, meant for headlines, titles, subtitles and banners. In 2020 it was remastered, with Yanone listed as a contributor next to Danh Hong.

1 Regular style, Khmer and Latin. Keep it for the big text and let a plainer Khmer face carry the reading.
