Notes From The Reading Room
The reading room opens onto a quiet courtyard. Along the shelves, small handwritten labels mark the collections. A visitor leaves a book open beside the window, keeping a place for the next reader.
A heading marks the next chapter. The margins leave room for a note while the text continues across the page.

Caladea is Cambo reworked for documents. Carolina Giovagnoli and Andrés Torresi of HT Fonts took their earlier serif, narrowed it, gave it new metrics, and built out the 4 styles any word processor expects: Regular, Italic, Bold and Bold Italic. They also widened the character set to WGL, the pan-European set.
The narrowing shows. A paragraph sits tighter than in most book serifs, and the italic is only a shade narrower again, so switching styles mid-sentence does not jolt the line length.
They call it modern and friendly, and next to a stiff office serif it is. Use it for reports, letters and contracts, in 11 or 12 pt print.
