Notes From The Reading Room
The reading room opens onto a quiet courtyard. Along the shelves, small handwritten labels mark the collections. A visitor leaves a book open beside the window, keeping a place for the next reader.
A heading marks the next chapter. The margins leave room for a note while the text continues across the page.

The Autumn Collection
Colophon Foundry in the UK started DM Serif Display from the Latin of Adobe’s Source Serif, the family Frank Grießhammer and others drew, and pushed it toward poster size. The contrast between thick and thin strokes is high and the serifs are delicate, detail so fine that it wants to be big.
That is the reason for its sibling. DM Serif Text has the same lineage set up for smaller sizes, and the 2 are meant to be used together, Display for the headline and Text for the paragraph under it.
There is a Regular and an Italic, which runs a touch narrower. Extended Latin covers English and the other Western European languages. Under about 24 px we would switch to the Text version.
