Notes From The Reading Room
The reading room opens onto a quiet courtyard. Along the shelves, small handwritten labels mark the collections. A visitor leaves a book open beside the window, keeping a place for the next reader.
A heading marks the next chapter. The margins leave room for a note while the text continues across the page.

DM Serif Text has a showier sibling. DM Serif Display carries the high contrast, and Text is the sturdier, lower-contrast version for subheadings and smaller sizes, though its serifs stay fine. Colophon Foundry in the UK drew both, starting from the Latin of Adobe’s Source Serif, which Frank Grießhammer and others had made.
2 styles, Regular and Italic. The italic sets a little narrower than the roman, handy for a pull quote that has to fit the same column.
333 characters with standard and discretionary ligatures and fractions, and no bold. Under a DM Serif Display headline it is the obvious partner; Google added the pair in June 2019.
