Spring Garden Concert Series
In Korean the font is called Neungsohwa, after Campsis grandiflora, the trumpet vine, which is about the best loved of the summer vines in Korea. Haesung Cho chose a vine on purpose. The design comes out of Art Nouveau, a style made of tendrils and flowers, and Grandiflora tries to show how far the curves of Hangeul can be pushed in that direction.
It is drawn as a hairline throughout, a single very fine stroke, which leaves the curves and ornaments with nothing to hide behind. That also tells you the size: a title, a book cover, the name on a wedding invitation, set large.
The Latin alphabet in the same file has been given some flourish of its own. Swashes, discretionary ligatures, stylistic alternates and old style figures are all in there, so an English line under a Korean title does not have to look plain beside it. Its lowercase is short, though, so keep the Latin to display sizes as well.
JAMO published it, and Google added it in May 2023. 3,270 characters in 1 style.
