Headings, labels and running text.

Notes From The Reading Room

The reading room opens onto a quiet courtyard. Along the shelves, small handwritten labels mark the collections. A visitor leaves a book open beside the window, keeping a place for the next reader.

A heading marks the next chapter. The margins leave room for a note while the text continues across the page.

Rodeo tonight, gates open early

There is only 1 weight in Ultra, and it is very heavy. Astigmatic built the slab with nods to wood type, to styles like Clarendon and Egyptian, and pitched it squarely at titling.

It sets wide as well as heavy, so a headline of a few words fills a lot of space, and that is the point. Keep it for titles and leave the reading text to something lighter.
