Notes From The Reading Room
The reading room opens onto a quiet courtyard. Along the shelves, small handwritten labels mark the collections. A visitor leaves a book open beside the window, keeping a place for the next reader.
A heading marks the next chapter. The margins leave room for a note while the text continues across the page.

Inika means “ink” in the Rapa Nui language of Easter Island, which belongs to Chile. Constanza Artigas took the island, its language and its culture as the starting point, and the name points to rongo-rongo, the island’s old writing.
Artigas worked the tiki style into the capitals and lowercase lightly, so the reference sits in details while the letters stay readable. The result is a serif meant for long text, document titles and big display sizes alike.
2 weights, Regular and Bold, Latin with extended accents, and kerning but no other OpenType extras. Could it carry a whole book? Plausibly, at text sizes, and the Bold gives a title page some weight.
