Notes From The Reading Room
The reading room opens onto a quiet courtyard. Along the shelves, small handwritten labels mark the collections. A visitor leaves a book open beside the window, keeping a place for the next reader.
A heading marks the next chapter. The margins leave room for a note while the text continues across the page.

A quiet chapter on autumn
Günther Junge’s calligraphy is the source, and you can still see the pen in it. Alexei Vanyashin kept some of the small irregularities of a hand-made letter, so Junge is looser than a strict text face. At small sizes the strokes seem to flicker on the page; set a heading large and the finer details come forward.
It is slim and comes in a single Regular, Latin only, from the Cyreal foundry in 2011. Poetry and short literary text suit it, where that slightly unsteady hand adds something.
