Live at the Roadhouse, Friday
Drawn inline first, then traced. Dathan Boardman of Open Window started Metal Mania with the inline letterforms and traced around them afterwards, and that is where the cutout look comes from. His source material was a heap of heavy metal album covers and gig posters, boiled down to the most metal parts he could find.
Concert posters and guitar picks were what he had in mind. With 1 Regular style and 259 characters covering extended Latin, it is a headline face and nothing more; set a paragraph in it and you will regret it by the second line.
