Neco’s lowercase ascenders climb higher than its capitals, so a b or an h stands over the H beside it, and the serifs are chunky wedges. Jitka Janečková, who is Czech, designed it for Indian Type Foundry with diagonal stress and a contrast that sharpens as the weight goes up, and it has been on Fontshare since March 2021.
The full family runs from Regular to Black, each weight with a true cursive italic. This download is the Regular alone.
Its figures default to proportional old style, sitting down among the lowercase, with lining, tabular and small cap figures a feature away, and there are real small caps for running heads. A wine list or a wedding invitation would show all of that off.
