Notes From The Reading Room
The reading room opens onto a quiet courtyard. Along the shelves, small handwritten labels mark the collections. A visitor leaves a book open beside the window, keeping a place for the next reader.
A heading marks the next chapter. The margins leave room for a note while the text continues across the page.

Peddana was drawn for news publications first. Appaji Ambarisha Darbha, a type designer in Hyderabad, developed the Telugu of Peddana in 2013 for news publications, and Silicon Andhra made it available; it also stretches to headings and invitations.
The Latin half was borrowed. It comes from Charis, a serif by SIL International, and in this font the Latin letters sit small on their body, so an English word at a given point size looks modest. 1 Regular style, on Google Fonts since December 2014.
