Notes From The Reading Room
The reading room opens onto a quiet courtyard. Along the shelves, small handwritten labels mark the collections. A visitor leaves a book open beside the window, keeping a place for the next reader.
A heading marks the next chapter. The margins leave room for a note while the text continues across the page.

Letters like these were used to set Hebrew religious commentary, and Noto Rashi Hebrew takes its semi-cursive skeleton from Sephardic writing of the 15th century. Borys Kosmynka drew it with modulated strokes as a companion to Noto Serif Hebrew. Use it the way an English page uses italic, for emphasis or for a second voice inside a passage.
9 weights, Thin to Black, which is generous for a style of this kind; the heavier ones could carry section heads in a study booklet. 91 Hebrew characters, discretionary ligatures, and a Latin set to go with them.
