Notes From The Reading Room
The reading room opens onto a quiet courtyard. Along the shelves, small handwritten labels mark the collections. A visitor leaves a book open beside the window, keeping a place for the next reader.
A heading marks the next chapter. The margins leave room for a note while the text continues across the page.

Tea and cake at 4 o'clock
Nicole Fally found the start of Ovo in a lettering guide from the 1930s, a set of hand-lettered capitals whose soft serifs gave away the decade they were made in. A slightly casual feeling had crept into those otherwise classical capitals, and she followed it into a gentle lowercase and some whimsical figures of her own.
It is a serif with medium contrast and old style variation in letter widths, which together with the fine details make it best at medium and large sizes. 1 Regular style, basic Western Latin, no OpenType features. We like it for a bakery sign or a book cover where a classic serif would feel too stiff.
