In Thai, Prompt means “ready”, the same as the English word.
The Thai here is loopless, the simplified modern form, and Cadson Demak point out that simplifying a formal Thai letter has to be done carefully or it loses what makes the character itself. The Thai is wide, with plenty of air inside and around it, and the Latin was drawn as a plain geometric sans to sit comfortably beside it. Vowel and tone marks were sized and placed with care, since readability and the texture of a page depend on them.
A caution from the foundry. Some Thai letters look much alike in this design, ก ถ ภ ฤ ฦ for instance, or บ and ป, ข and ช, and in a very short text, a button or a 1-word label, a reader can confuse them.
18 styles, every weight from Thin to Black with an italic, plus Vietnamese. Magazines, newspapers, posters and websites are the foundry’s own suggestions, and the range of weights backs them up: Light or Regular for the article, Black for the cover line.
