Reddit had a whole type system made for it, Reddit Sans, Reddit Sans Condensed and this monospaced member, and Stephen Hutchings drew them with OrangeRed. The mono keeps the humanist shapes of the sans, so a code snippet in a post and the comment wrapped around it look like relatives.

There are 8 weights from ExtraLight to Black, and no italics.

An oddity: it carries proportional and old style figures, which a monospace rarely bothers with. Leave them off in code and every digit keeps its cell. Switch them on for a heading or a big statistic and the numbers relax into normal spacing. A slashed zero and 4 stylistic sets are in there too, and Vietnamese is covered.

In width it sits close to Consolas, so moving an editor over to it barely changes how many columns fit.

Letters, Figures & Code

Names, values and punctuation share a fixed rhythm. Compare the zero with the capital O, and the number one with the lowercase l.
