Hugo Dumont, who works in Paris, gave Synonym more stroke contrast than a humanist sans usually carries, and you notice it most in the double-story a. The arms of E, F, L and T end on diagonal cuts, and so do the tops of the ascenders.
Its numbers stand at cap height but keep proportional spacing, good in a sentence and less good in a table.
The family has 6 weights, ExtraLight to Bold, and this download is the Regular. Dumont had branding and editorial work in mind, the places where a sans is allowed a little personality, and a book cover would be our first try.
