A Note On The Page
Tapestry · Regular
A short letter, set in the family.
Thursday afternoon
Dear Alex,
I left the book by the window. There is a note on page twenty-three that I thought you would like. Bring it along on Thursday; we can finish the conversation over coffee.
See you there.

Harvest supper at the barn
The capitals of Tapestry come from Roman serif forms, and the lowercase answers them with a broad pen. Robert Leuschke drew the thick and thin strokes as a flat nib would leave them, then added very fine hairline flicks to the small letters so a line moves along with a light bounce, with a slightly country, handmade air about it.
The design is older than its open release. Its copyright starts in 2003, and Leuschke, head of the TypeSETit foundry outside St. Louis, came to type after many years of lettering packaging and greeting cards. Google Fonts took Tapestry on in 2022.
1 Regular. A stylistic set and some alternates are built in, plus fractions and superscripts, and the Latin reaches Central European languages and Vietnamese. Farm shop labels and a harvest dinner menu are its natural ground.
