Zen Kaku Gothic comes in 2 versions. New is the contemporary cut, and Antique, this family, is the classical take, still simple, with orthodox letterforms that Yoshimichi Ohira says read easily from titles down to captions.
5 weights, Light to Black, cover kana, kanji, Latin and Cyrillic. For a Japanese company report that wants a little period flavor without giving up legibility, it could be the right pick.
